Moving the Cities
Moving the Cities is an international immersive experience that has been reoccurring annually since 2018. It unites students, professors, industry representatives and universities from all over the world. The goal of Moving the Cities is to look at regional challenges that cities face from an international perspective.
Fees
This fee section only applies to those participating in-person in Brazil
The fee for this immersive program includes group flight airfare, program administration, lodging at Work Hotel Sao Leopoldo, some meals, international health insurance, entrances to course-related excursions and site visits, and local transportation. You must also budget for the COVID-19 vaccinations including the booster, passport and passport photos, some additional meals, independent travel, and miscellaneous expenses. Proof of COVID-19 immunization is required to be eligible for this program.

Financial Aid and Scholarships
This experience does not carry regular credit, therefore, typical financial aid is unavailable. You may be able to petition for independent study with faculty approval. However:
Anyone applying for the in-person experience in Brazil will be considered for an Ecolab scholarship. Ecolab scholarships are available to Twin Cities undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need for up to $1500. Students from other UMN system campuses should inquire with their departments about potential funding.
